Hi All,

I know most of us Oxwall users are keen to see what Oxwall 1.6 brings and are disappointed with the delay, but please let me say:

(a) Oxwall is probably the best social networking software. I tested  Jomsocial, Social Engine, Dolphin and others before settling on Oxwall. It was a breath of fresh air - simple to use and relatively bug free.

(b) NONE of the other software worked properly on mobile devices. Some worked better than others, but in then end they all fell short - particularly in the area of uploading or displaying photos or videos.

(c) Oxwall is free! What more can be said. Take a look at the price of Jomsocial or Social Engine and just say "thank you" to the Oxwall team.

(d) I and no doubt you have probably spent a lot of time getting the look and feel of your Oxwall site right. Hopefully, you now have members. I don't need a buggy update breaking my site right now. You won't be happy if 1.6 breaks your site, so let the Oxwall team and beta testers take the time they need to get it right.

That's it, and sorry to preach. I don't have any affiliation with Oxwall by the way. Just a very happy and grateful user.

You take the words right out of my mouth and I too tried other social networking scripts.

Just take your time to get it right from the start with 1.6. Nice to see an active community and dedicated devs.

Quote from FoxTechs It'd be nice to know how it's going, and I know I'm not the only one who thinks so. Take all the time you need, just at least give us an update on how things are going with it. That's all I request for the time of waiting for 1.6.

me too, i also want to know what's the new feature of 1.6 oxwall except the mobile solution....

Because the majority of my users are mobile based. I had to drop Oxwall completely.

What did you switch to? I also need to get a site up and running with a mobile solution. The lack of mobile is killing me. My users request it constantly and are getting agitated. Dolphin looks to provide everything I need but I don't have the $799 to drop on it.

No harm in shopping, but before you make a big jump there are several posts on this forum from people that have tried other scripts and came back to Oxwall for one reason or another.  So if you move we wish you luck, but at least know the facts before you make the jump.. ;)

Oh i did forget to say that one of those who came back, did so from Dolphin... just fyi...

Regarding the status - I think we all agree folks that its hard to keep your feet wet in a stream with little water but im sure the team is working hard and has plans to post updates soon.  Once the flood gates open im confident you will all be very pleased with the results.  I do believe it is well worth the wait.

I just came from Dolphin... you're better off waiting. $799 just gets you in the door. Module prices are extremely high.
