Kristina, we are aware of the thumbnail problems with the Metacafe embed videos. It will be fixed in the nearest future for the most popular video resources.

Also, I'm not quite sure how to get the Google Video embed code, please provide the steps as all my attempts to get to the Google video site lead to the Google search and youtube videos. 
As to the links to the video only works with the youtube - can you please elaborate? Do you mean when you click on the thumbnail it does not redirect you to the video page where you can watch it?If so, we cannot reproduce that, at least for Metacafe video.
