How many users can this plugin support? - MessageAll | Forum

We have used this plugin on a fairly large site (16,000+ members) and find that when we use this plugin, that it always times out and we get a 500 error. Sometimes the messages go out, sometimes it doesnt.

When the messages do go out, whichever moderator we designate the message go out from, then gets all 16,000+ messages in their sent box. And theres no way to bulk delete aside from going into the database and deleting them there. If we don't bulk delete, then it freezes up the moderator's mailbox and causes random glitches in various users' mailboxes, where they cannot access their mailbox or just their sent box.

Is there a way to make it so the messages do NOT go into the moderator's sent box?? So that this doesnt clog up the database.

We have used this plugin on smaller sites (maybe 6000 members and we dont have this kind of extreme problem) but all the messages still get sent into the sent box of the moderator.

Thx!

Thanks for bringing this up.

Technically this not possilbe as Oxwall message plugin does not maintain 2 different tables for sender and receiver. There is only 1 database entry and if you delete as you mentioned, no one will see it.

Moreover I believe, this plugin just does the job of sending messages. Actual messages are handled by Oxwalls's core plugin.
