Hello,

We have download the video chat plug in and there are several issues here.

1. Safari browsers and Bing browsers have to download Temasys Web RTC plug in but after the download you are unable to use video chat.

2. Google Chrome and Firefox browsers ask to "Please enable your camera and microphone to proceed" The mic and cam is already enable and unsure why it would ask this? Unable to use a video chat.

3. On IOS mobile I can receive the video call but cannot accept it.

4. On IOS mobile I cannot make the video call and states my safari browser does not support WebRTS.

So overall this video chat plug in has not worked for us. Please advise.

Danielle and Harry, as it's stated in our plugin description - our plugin works basing on the WebRTC technology. This technology is supported only by the browsers/platforms listed here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/WebRTC#Support

Safari and Bing browsers do not support WebRTC technology for now. The same situation is for the iOS browsers, applications based on the WebRTC technology do not work on iOS platform yet.

This technology is quite new in the web, but it's constantly extended by new functionality, so we are pretty sure that all browsers will start supporting it in the nearest future.

We can 100% guarantee that our plugin works in Google Chrome and Mozilla FireFox browsers, for both Desktop and Mobile versions of the Oxwall platform (iOS is exception).

P.S. Danielle, Can you confirm that the camera works with no issues for Hangouts or Skype or any other web applications?

Test your camera here: https://www.onlinemictest.com/

Test your microphone here: https://www.onlinemictest.com/webcam-test

Finally, before the chat starts browser asks you to allow your camera and microphone. Please make sure that you click 'allow', but not 'deny' option.

Find the instructions on how to configure it here: https://support.google.com/chrome/answer/2693767?hl=en

Thank you for that information. I just tested my cam and mic and all is good on my end. That is why I don't understand why I am getting that "Please enable your camera and microphone to proceed" from Google Chrome and Firefox. I use skype all the time.

We tested the plugin in Google Chrome using Windows and Linux OS and everything works just fine. The problem occurs on Mac OS only. I have forwarded this issue to our technicians. They will check into this issue and I will get back to you with the results.

Thank you for the report.

Danielle, we have found that the problem is not in OS, but in the version of the Chrome browser. Please find more information here: http://www.oxwall.org/forum/topic/43447
