Oxwall Mobile Version Re-design | Forum

Greetings everyone,

I've been working on a little project myself for the past three months, it consist on re-designing the Oxwall mobile version. I was inspired by the IONIC framework, and I thought it would be great if my site mobile version could look like a native Android app.

Mobile Website: https://www.locofans.com/mobile-version

I managed to tweak it a bit to make it look like a native Android app so I can package it into an .apk file extension. My questions now are:

1) How can I add the "Username" and "User Avatar" to the sidebar?
2) How to customize my plugins to make them compatible with the mobile version?
3) How can I add Icons next to the menu?
4) How do I fix the JavaScript issue from admin/mobile, where I cannot edit nor delete any custom menu.

Despite my site been responsive, it cannot compete with Oxwall mobile native looks.

Below are some of my (In Progress) mobile site new looks.

UPDATE

Everything went well so far, my mobile website has been package inside an .APK and now it looks like a Native android application. I managed to fully integrate the "Google Connect" plugin to the mobile website, and push notification is on it's way. But I still need help integrating the other base plugins such as:

- Video
- Blogs
- Groups
- Events
- Profile Edit (Not a plugin, I know)
- Preference
- Mail Notification
- Privacy

If done, Oxwall would have a fully functional mobile website. Any help would be appreciated.

See the App screenshots below.

I'm glad you are interested!

A plugin wouldn't be enough to do the trick, I could probably work on a NEW "mobile theme" with an Android native look, perhaps in the near future. Besides, not every Oxwall plugins are optimize for the mobile version.

But so far everything is going well with the project.

That would be nice, a mobile theme that supports all optimized plugins for mobile like Movie Roll would be awesome :)

As far as I know, Movie Roll is fully integrated in the mobile theme, the design only is a little out of shape. A quick CSS brush up could probably fix it.

UPDATE (7/14/2016)

Greetings everyone, thank you for your interest into the Mobile Re-design. Although I'm moving at turtle speed, I will continually keep you informed of my progresses.

Upon Webster's Suggestions:

1) Ability to Add Adsense Code Slot(s) on Pages of the App (Top and Bottom)
// I don't like the look of Adsense design on the mobile version, instead I implemented the "Native Facebook Ad" which looks way better. It blends in with the design. (see picture)

 3) Google Analytics to read users Analytics
// You can always add another Google Analytics code on your mobile theme folder "html_document.html" before the </head> tag.

7) Ability to change colours to suit your needs for App
// This will be on my next update.

8) Push Notifications
     // I believe there's a plugin already available.

2) 4) 5) 6) 9) 10) // Unfortunately I can only work with plugins I have available.

For now the Ad can be tested from an Android mobile device default web browser.

Wow this is exactly what I'm looking for! Is there any way to download/buy this theme? Even if it's not quite finished, my users would absolutely love it, as would I! :)
