VERY HAPPY WITH THIS PLUGIN, HOWEVER; THERE ARE SOME SHORTCOMINGS AND MISTAKES WITH IT AS I WILL POINT OUT HERE. - Articles | Forum

Very happy with this plugin, however;

The way news is presented on Newsfeed/Status in the main, is very poor, as it lacks thumbnail and often too little text, with large gaps. See photo and / or go to this link: https://sosialtnett.com/index

I also bought "Share Button (News Feed Sharing) Like Facebook" from you for some days ago. but where is the share button on Acticles pages? Have you forgotten to includes Articles plug in "Share Button (News Feed Sharing) Like Facebook"?

Okay, but what about the missing font and thumbnail on the newsfeed, when one posts a new article!

Does it allow sharing outside of Oxwall?

The closest you come to this Igor is:

Hi Ketil,

I guess rhis is the default plugin that comes preinstalled with Oxwall?
AddThis have even nicer functions, but I was hoping to get the real share button under the post on a newsfeed. The problem is that most users would never guess to click the time link to be able to share a specific post from the wall.

Closest I've seen is that one https://developers.oxwall.com/store/item/1234, but it doesn't share externally.

What really amazes me sometimes are situations we're discussing now - I'm probably the million's user of Oxwall and no one really bothered for a proper share plugin? It's forum after all, need external life and fb is already irreplaceable. It's a wonderful world :-)

This do that https://developers.oxwall.com/store/item/805 if you have post vid image on newsfeed.

But i now, its so fare bad solution for externally sharing.

Its som other apps out here:

Social Auto Poster

Social Pubisher Pro

YNO - Social Publisher  (Will no longer be updated)

YNO - Social Stream (Will no longer be updated)

But Facebook's app configaration has become more difficult and begun to set up. And now I see that they are creating mobile app issues. So yes, I've wasted some money on such plugins. But gave up according to all the requirements these plugins require. And it's also not often that these are approved by facebook!

Nor any of the plugin developers who have provided some complete understanding of how to set up the various social plugins! They just refer to a lot of unintended documents. If this is the fault of lack of interest in laying down time, or because of lack of competence itself, is still an unwritten magazine!

True true...
So far it's possible to share quite nicely by using AddThis floating buttons.
Only difficulty that it takes a while for Oxwall to process the post so pic will be shown in share and that users have to click the TIME to get inside the post to share it separately.

I purchased Social Publisher Pro, but can't get the license key to install it. It seems to be an automated way to share to social media pages - would be nice if it works.

I learned that in some cases it's cheaper to order a new plugin that struggle with unknown support. What also might help is that available plugins are open code and can be taken as base for further improvement of an own plugin. Half way there as some say.

In spite of all the troubles, it's nice that there is something free and working - much better that nothing at all. There are no alternatives to Oxwall with both forums, groups and newsfeed, so the path is chosen in advance :-D
