I think that this plugin would be better if it send notification AFTER mail verification, if verification is required, also you can add the description "email not verified/verified" in the mail content. 

Is possible to add the avatar picture as html source and not as link? because is boring have to click on the link whenever an user sign up.. Like mail notifications, in wich there is the picture and not the link.

Would be perfect if we can choose what profile questions can be viewed in mail.
