I installed Oxwall 1.5.1 using Softaculous auto-installer, do I need to install oxwall-1.5.2 + ow_core_update_pack_1.5.2 and oxwall-1.5.3 + ow_core_update_pack_1.5.3 to have my site updated?

No.
1. If "update" button appeared in your admin panel, just use it to update to the latest version.
2. If you would like to make a manual update, just use update pack of 1.5.3 version.

No automatic update option appearing.
yeh no auto update option on admin panel this time.. um i should wait till it pop up or i should manually do it?

Geovani, you can disable maintenance mode by login in as admin from www.yoursitename.com/sign-in URL>> admin panel>>pages&menus>>maintenance page.

Have you tried disabling maintenance mode as suggested earlier? Can you log in as site admin?
