I really need some help to get the FB portion of the contact importer to work. No issues with google or email importer. Please help?

Have you considered that the scum running Facebook might be censoring it? If people us a FB login then if FB blocks or disables their account they will also be locked out of your site.

To import friends from Facebook, you require an SSL certificate and access to your htaccess file. You need to rewrite the fb import files into https. I will create a small tutorial that will help everyone to set it up.
I have finally managed to solve the problem, without running your whole oxwall site in https.

Lisa Chris is right. Facebook has recently changed their settings. Can you try his solution and see whether this works for you?

Hmm... I already have https for my oxwall site - so Chris, if you can provide a tutorial on how to fix the plugin that would be great. I'm not sure how to rewrite fb import files.... any help/instructions would be greatly appreciated! :) Thanks.

this is very frustrating. My site IS running HTTPS - so why isn't my FB Contact importer working? I'm still very confused. Can someone help me with step by step how to get the FB contact importer to work??
