Dissociation can be overwhelming, but grounding techniques are a great way to stay present and regain control. Some methods include focusing on your senses—naming five things you can see, four you can touch, three you can hear, two you can smell, and one you can taste. Breathing exercises and mindful stretching also help bring you back to the moment. I recently found the Choose Grounding website and its post about Choose Grounding dissociation, which offers various tools and techniques for managing dissociation. Has anyone tried their methods? What grounding techniques work best for you, and how do you integrate them into your daily routine?
