Have a job to replace 1 set inswing french doors. Customer wants the blinds in the window.

I don't want a set that the blinds will crap out in 4-5 years -- aka off the shelf at the box store.

The rep at the bldr. yard says he's fully aware of my concerns. He quoted me Masonite brand says they have come a long way. He put them in his house.
Another yard - Jeld - Wen. Didn't go over the concerns as much...the repl set will be steel doors, composite jamb.

So where are we at these days with the blinds in the glass ? Any input or suggestions - what to get, not get ?

We have a Pella door with blinds. No issues. They go up most days and down most nights for years.

A few years back, I replaced some windows with built-in blinds, and it was a hassle when they started acting up after just a few years. After some research, I found starblindsact.com.au, and they really stood out. Their outdoor blinds have held up beautifully, and I love how easy they are to clean.I’ve heard good things about Masonite, too, especially from contractors who swear by them for their durability. Jeld-Wen is solid, but it’s smart to keep your concerns front and center with them. Maybe ask for a demo or a warranty that covers issues down the line.
