Hi
Does anyone know how the Radio Plugin works?

I have tried many things to try and get it to work, but it seems the play button does not work!

Any help Please!!

I downloaded it yesterday. The Play button doesn't work because there isn't anything to play. It needs to be configured but I can't find a settings like other plugins. In my opinion this plugin needs removing as it's useless & doesn't work without precise instructions from the creator. Without a settings you're talking about manually editing & I'd rather not be messing about with a plugin that doesn't follow the same structure as every other in the store. Sorry I couldn't be more helpful.

Radio Player Plugin works great.

1.   Install the Plugin.

2.   Goto PAGES&MENUS

3.   Goto RADIO Button and drag&drop it to the location where you want it.

4.   High-Light Button and Click EDIT

5.   On Stream Url you must use a correct URL and Port # EXAMPLE below.

Example:  http://uk_listen.gaydio.co.uk:8001/gaydio_high

My Radio plugin has stopped working, the radio suddenly stooped playing. I have no idea what happened. I was working fine until about a week ago when it stopped.

Thanks MarkiMark67! Would have been nice though if the creator had told us we had to edit it from the customise page link instead of the normal 'settings' that most plugins have that need configuring. Thanks again though, I appreciate the update :)

Is there a good resource for streaming radio links, i have looked for a bit now and either the radio stations have their own plugins/player widgets that you have to use or the links have changed and are broken.

Glad I can help. The URL links and Ports are different for everyone. Just depends on who you want to stream from. It's Trial & Error on figuring out how to stream sometimes. Sometimes you can look at the stations own plugins or widgets to figure out what the URL and port id is. I wish I could help more.

Way ahead of you there, yeah tried the widget idea, many of them know that and just have a js or some other link that it pulls from on their side so we cant see it lol..

It is a challenge for sure, it seems as i am going thru this i get the impression that at one time there was a surge in streaming radio sites, and now many of them are either abandoned and the data is for lack of better word doo doo, or innop all together.

Thanks for the tips, if i find a good source i will share it here.. :)

im going to try something different, since it seems you can only have one choice with this radio plugin, and its hard to find a staton link,  i am going to try a different route here.

idea:

http://www.pandora.com/

create your own station and add it to the site with custom html.

i will see if this works or not lol.

UPDATE: nevermind, pandora used to be different long time ago... things have changed.

The Radio works great for me to but found that if I use normal link with:
(http://198.245.61.142:9990/listen.pls) PLS extention it will not play and most Radios give you that PLS link to use I found that if I use the MP3 link (http://198.245.61.142:9990/;listen.mp3) it works GREAT!!

Love the Plugin ;)
