Yup it is.

Go into admin and create the page via pages and menu.
To make this the first page people get when they visit your site after you have created it click and drag it to the first spot on the top menu before join and main.
If you only want this viewable to guest only tick the viewable to guests box and not the registered users box.

I just reread your post, you can use html to create your pages, upload the images you wish to use into Appearance> graphics

I am stuck

I created the landing page and gave it a page title, menu name, I set the url at http://ultimateforcesocial.com/intro.html and filled in the page content with html for what I want on the landing page and then I dragged it so it appears before main and join in the main menu section but when I go to the page, it is still taking me straight to the login form page

I uploaded the intro.html page to the web server as well

Any ideas?

Ian, I've checked your website when I go the landing page, then I go the landing page where I see two images

So does it take you to the landing page straight away with the two images?, I know it looks rubbish for now, will make it a nicer layout when it's working properly

Yes It does and I didn't change anything

However It does not work for guest, seems like that you have changed the code or configured so that the sign-in box appears first for guests

Hmm wonder why is not doing it this end
