User Roles and Admin | Forum

Hi,

I've disabled the ability for FREE accounts to create Groups and Events, but now the option to create them for me as ADMIN has also disappeared.

I'd have thought ADMIN could do and create anything? Do I need to create another admin type role in user roles with those privileges and make myself a member of that?

No, by default admin also has free account just change it in the admin panel

you need to create a new role for your self eg admin then tick your permissions so you can do everything, we have different roles for types of membership on our site plus one for mods and admins :) create the roles and allocate permissions in admin area after that go to your own profile click change role select eg admin then you will be able to do everything again

Creating a new role for Admin is a bit counter intuitive compared to most systems, but thanks for the replies that's worked perfectly.
