Thanks Pete :)   Remember folks read and know what your doing before you do it.

1. Backup your old htaccess so you can go back.

2. Do one step at a time if it allows you to and test it, that way if it does not work you know where the issue is.

3. Remember for every positive there is an offset negative, give and take.

4. Document inside your htaccess what you do and why.  You can put comments in your htaccess starting with the pound sign # before each line of text like so.

       # i did this because

       # Pete told me too lol

5. If you get confused and dont know what to do, please ask but im sure they would want you to post it in the custom code mod section.  I am not a htaccess pro by any means but some of us are better than others, some of us are very good. So between us we can assist you or atleast point you in the right direction.

6. Take what some of those say with a grain of salt. Remember not everything you find on the net is the truth, except for when i say it.  LMAO :)  aint i a funny guy lol.

Good luck..

Thanks Pete,

But it would be a lot more useful if you adapt the advices for Oxwall and share it here with your comments.

What do you think?

+1

My suggestion would be to user APAC or Nginx to server better. There are lot of cache mods for apache too which can server better.

I left it to members own choice, what works for one person does not allways work for somebody else, due to server settings ,etc.
