if there any supported animated file type that can be put in the Page Promo img??
have tried with all file types I know....
So is there anyone that can help with this???

You can do that via custom CSS here: www.yourdomain.com/admin/theme/css
by changing the certain styles
for example in the Darklets theme I pasted this:
.ow_page_wrap {position: relative;background-image: url('http://i41.tinypic.com/21dolk4.png');background-repeat: no-repeat;background-position: center 41px;}
and it used my file instead of current promo image, this way you'll be able to use your SWF file.
