Dear Oxwall Users,

PLEASE read this message carefully before posting to this thread.

I have created this thread so that common bugs and problems with Oxwall 1.6 can be found in one place. This should provide a good starting point and make it easier for Oxwall staff to identify the serious bugs or problems that affect multiple users. A few things to note which will help you and others get the most out of this thread :

(1) It is NOT for complaints or gripes. It is IMPORTANT that you describe the bug or problem as succinctly and accurately as possible. A message saying simply that you have a problem is not helpful and cannot be sensibly actioned or commented on.

(2) It is ONLY for Oxwall 1.6 bugs or problems. Therefore you should have Oxwall 1.6 installed on your site and have encountered the bug or problem after the installation. This may include a problem with a plugin that worked before upgrading from Oxwall 1.5.3 to 1.6.

(3) By all means use a heading in the first line of your message (e.g. PROBLEM WITH XXXX). This will make it easier to see messages relating to a particular problem.

(4) Read or search this topic to see if the bug or problem has already been reported. If it is, then refer back to the message ("quote") number on the left hand side. This will save you and others time by not repeating stuff and help bring the posts together.

(5) If your problem is user specific, you can still create you own topic : ) You can use your topic to work through the problem, then post a summary result here. This thread is really for bugs and problems that may affect multiple users.

(6) By all means share any fix or solution that you have found. Put any solution under a heading "SOLUTION".

Lastly, once this thread gets underway, I'll edit this message and try bring things together with some stats and cross references. So check the bottom of this message from time to time.

That's it, thanks.

Allen

SUMMARY AND STATS - As at 20 January 2014

(1) 500 SERVER ERROR WITH ADMIN DELETING USER - Appears to be a conflict with the first release of the privacy plugin. Deactivating the privacy plugin before deleting the user may solve the problem pending any fix (3 posts - QN 1 and 3). Privacy plugin has since been updated. Downloading and installing the updated plugin may fix the problem altogether (1 post - QN 6).

(2) ERROR CHANGING NAME OF MOBILE MENU PAGE - No solutions suggested (1 post - QN 3)

(3) MOBILE DASHBOARD EMPTY - This appears to be the default set up for Oxwall 1.6. rather than a bug. Possibly requires content to be provided by developers of plugins and widgets. (1 post - QN 3)

PROBLEM WITH ADMIN DELETING USERS

After installing Oxwall 1.6 deleting a user (through the front end or admin dashboard) produces a 500 Internal Server Error. This appears to be due to a conflict with the privacy plugin.

SOLUTION

Deactivating the privacy plugin first allows the admin to delete a user without error. However, this means having to deactivate an re-activate the plugin through the admin dashboard whenever deleting a member.

Re 500 Error when clicking on a user (QN 4)

Bobby, you will need to provide some detail about your Oxwall installation and the particular problem for others to be able to check their sites, comment and possibly help.

Cheers
