I cannot see the activity string "Added new video" in newsfeed.

This is an unresolved bug. Its been there for years now and was never fixed ...

Alberto, with regards to "Photo", we will add a string stating that user has added N number of photos in future build.
Oxwall has done refactoring of newsfeed plugin, and from now on, you will not see the string telling that somebody added video anymore. You will just see the username and added video.

Alberto, we have rechecked and turned out that even in 1.5.3 Oxwall never had an activity strings for:
- adding video
- blogs
- links
- single photo upload.
So overall not much changed in 1.6.
Strings exist for:
- groups
- events
- forum topics.
Did you get a lot of complains/suggestions from your users about items without strings stating that it is not intuitive to understand what was added?
