it looks like your plugin folder is corrupt/or there is a virus somewhere in your oxwall folder

It could be due to upgrade itself, not due to correcting package descriptions.
The archive unpacked into var/packages contains no code itself. So when you did the upgrade some of your code became damaged in a php file

I would first check your files and folders for a virus ,if anybody can upload files on your site ,it is very easy to upload a virus if you know how

try replacing some of the php files in the plugins folder if you do not have a back up ,this may work .but back all your files and db up first before you attempt this

if you do not have a way to check for a virus on your server ,download all your oxwall files and folders to your desktop and do it this way .

Hi, i've scanned my server and oxwall files, there is no Virus,

I think the only way that could help is Download each plugin from Store

Unzip it then Upload it via FTP, do i need to unistall the plugin before doing this?

I dont want to lose data, Photo and Video plugins are one of these updates

I would not unstall any plugins at the moment until you can figure out the problem, because you or getting a message invalid, empty, this can only be because by two things, data corruption due to bad install or a virus, and if it is a virus it could wipe all your files,i am not saying it is a virus for defo, but never rule it out  ,because for some reason your plugin folder is corrupt ,when there is some corrupt php files you have to look at every possible cause. I would go through them step first above, there is two plug in folders so I would try and replace the php files in both.

I have only just started using oxwall again and not used it for ages,so I am unsure if when you remove uninstall a plugin and reinstall does it remove your data .I think it stores your data in your db and it well be ok if you remove a plugin ,the data well be there again once you reinstall the same plugin ,but this is not 100%  so its up to you ,if you want to take a gamble .I would replace all your php files in the plugin folders with new ones defo

If you or going to add a new plugin and you have it on the server already you well have to uninstall  the plugin

just go to your plugin folder on your server and open a plugin on your server and see if all the data files or there in the folders and compare it with a new plugin on your desktop . This is  PHP corrupt file you can bet your life on it if its not a virus ,it wont be the plugins

You could get the oxwall 1.6 update files only and over right all your files again ,but I would deactivate all your plugins and change to the default theme until you have done this ,this should replace all your missing files .But make sur you back everything up

You do this at your own risk  my friend

or has a last resort you could back up your db and download all your folders with members folders in ,etc or just download all the oxwall folders and files ,then drop your db  and do a fresh install using 1.6 and add your db  and replace all the members files with photos in etc,i think if I rember right all your plugin data well be safe ,so don't worry .I did a fresh install ages ,and reinstalled my backup and when I added the plugins back the data was still there ,

just rember to use the same details for db and same admin password in confi when you reinstall
