HI
For correct translation, you need:
- Clone one of the existing langs (English). Leave English as default lang.
- Go to edit language edit page. In section "You are editing " select your chinese lang and translate all keys.

Let me know if it doesn't clear.

Quote from Addenster - Clone one of the existing langs (English). Leave English as default lang.
Important to notice.

Otherwise :
Do the missing keys get replace by english/default values ?

Many words were not translated or replaced? This a big difference, because export operation doesn't replace keys, it just add new values and keys.

So anyone resolve this problem? It's the same problem for me with oxwall 1.7.2

This is the same example with solution :

Well, I'm translating my zh-CN language pack, maybe will take 3 weeks before releasing due to my working status.

Here's my problem I prompted.

I installed Oxwall 2.1.3 on site A and started translation few days ago, and today I just installed 2.1.4 on site B. I exported my translation pack from site A (2.1.3), imported to site B, but seems missing lots of keys, say, 381 while the original English language on site B says missing 95.

So I deleted the imported language from site B, then cloned a language from site B (2.1.4) English language, edit the name to my Site A zh-CN language name, and exported the translated Admin section from site A, then imported this pack to Site B, but nothing happened although the system told me "Language/language pack imported", the zh-CN Admin section on site B remain untranslated, the query result of database table ow_base_language_value shows no change in line number.

After some study, here comes my solution.

- Export translated section from Site A, say 1.zip.
- Export language pack without translated section from Site A, say 2.zip.
- Import 2.zip to Site B, it's better than simply clone the original English language on Site B since you can't choose sections you want to clone.
- Import 1.zip to Site B, you're done.

I think the team should look into this and improve or optimize the translation work migration procedure, say, give some warning before overwriting database table instead of not overwriting and giving no return at all which is really confusing.

Thank you to "moco"

When translating content from English to traditional Chinese (zh-tw) Infinite Fusion Calculator in a localization project, you will typically export the original English package for translation and then re-import the translated package into the system. You are having an issue where the number of missing keys has increased dramatically after re-importing the English package. This problem may be due to the fact that during the translation process, some keys have not been translated or translated incorrectly, resulting in missing translations when re-entering. Make sure to scrutinize the translated content to make sure all keys are translated correctly.
