site ftp was working fine then i started to lock down the server for security
the problem i am have must be in the site ftp script because the ftp user i am using is the same i use in fileziller and works fine can modify change and delete files
and the only way i could troubleshoot this is get back in and revert all changes made for security would take me weeks to one thing at a time and test

ok i reverted back the server security with a backup and site ftp works
so i can not tell you exactly what is causing it
so this is not just a problem that just started this is a problem with the ftp script
not being comparable with servers with higher security settings
in whm ftp settings theres a select ftp setting for older ftp clients
even with that enabled ftp still is not working
i have treed a few different ftp clients with high security settings on server using the same ftp user and all the ftp clients the user can can modify and delete files
so theres a script problem and anyone who is have this problem has a half decent server anyone who does not have this problem has bad security on there server
