Latest version of 'Groups' is missing newsfeed[Solved] | Forum

So, I recently installed a fresh copy of Oxwall 1.6 on a test domain because I want to set up a new network focused on the groups plugin, but for some reason there is no option to have a Newsfeed stream component on the groups page. When I edit the group page widgets via admin it's not there, and the same goes when I edit individual groups.

Hi Jake,
It's on my Groups plugin (see Pic). Have got the latest plugin, or maybe you haven't dragged the widget down from where it's parked? (See red gizzmos.)

Jake, try to deactivate newsfeed plugin and activate it again. It should solve the problem

I solved the issue. I installed a 'test' copy on a sub-domain using softaculous and added nothing. When editing the groups settings, I noticed there was no widget for it until I uninstalled the 'groups' plugin, then downloaded and installed the one that was available on the store.
I also noticed I wasn't the first to report this error, some others have claimed some problems with it.
