So if someone posts a photo to the newsfeed, it does not look like they can tag anyone. It looks like only photos on albums can be tagged
Is there a work around for this? Or am i doing something incorrectly.

Hello,
If you don't use Attachments plugin, all photos added using newsfeed are just images attached to a status update, they are not converted to a photo. Soy you can not tag them.

It would be very cool if the user could choose which on of their albums an individual post goes to when posting...
