Hi All,

Can someone make an offline Oxwall editor like Windows LIVE where you can add forums / blogs to Wordpress on your desktop then when you get an Internet Connection it publishes to your forum catergories.

This would be great....or is there a way to do this ?

Hi Webster, This is the Oxwall Forum, not Wordpress. Did you mean Oxwall?

Do you also realise that when you're working offline, you are NOT using Oxwall or Wordpress? You will be using a program with FTP facilities on your own Computer. Therefore you are not really looking for an Oxwall or Wordpress plugin, you are looking for a program that will interact with either.

Personally I can't see the value in it because people would also have to be able to download the forum files for them to read.

May I ask out of curiosity why you would ever want such a plugin/program unless you want to moderate your forums offline? Somehow I don't think that's a sensible thing to do.

Hi John,

Sorry i meant oxwall.....The reason for this is i often work in remote areas where internet signal is bad or i run out of data. So therefore having something like this would save me time in working offline by creating posts then when i get a connection it posts for me.

Hi Webster,

I think you'll be better off waiting until you have a good connection. Peple will continue posting while you're out of range and your pre-prepared updates may be totally out of context.

A collegue who created a Shopping Cart did something similar for the owner to update the catalogue. It was written in C and it was a huge job writing what looked like a simple script. Good luck, but I'm not sure it's a program many people would have a need for.
