Make Menu Item Visible, But Require Sign-In/Up to View the Page | Forum

First off, thanks, Oxwall, for creating such excellent software.  Here's my question...

I created a new/custom Menu Item and configured it so only members can see the page.  However, that means that guests cannot see the Menu Item in their menu up top if they are not yet a member or not signed in.

Is there a way to make the Menu Item visible to everyone, but require Sign-In/Up to view the page to which the Menu Item points?

The idea being that you create some premium content that serves as an incentive for people to become a member.  But if guests cannot see the Menu Item, they'll never know what they're missing.  However, if they click on the link and get the sign-in prompt, they'll be more likely to join to access the premium content they were trying to reach,

Hope that makes sense.

Thanks!

Untick the guest boxes in /admin/permissions/roles

In pages tick viewable for guests and registered members for each tab in  /admin/pages/manage
