Hi everyone,

I have searched the forum and couldn't find any previous similar requests, so i am after some advice.

I work in a university business incubation centre that rents out office space to multiple companies. I am looking to use Oxwall as an intranet and am trying to find the best way to use it.

The objective is to create a private place for tenants to chat, share services, links etc. The biggest problem i am having is trying to find the best way to create companies.

I *think* the best way is going to be rebranding groups, but i'm also not sure if the same can be achieved through User Roles, or Account Types.

The outcome we want is having a completly private area for tenants and staff to get to know each other, but also a single page public area for each company so they can showcase their companies.

We have 3 types of potential user;
*Centre Staff - the ones working for the university and the ones that run the building. They will also be admins of the site.
*Tenants - The most senior person in each company and the ones that will administer their particular company area of the site.
*Tenants Staff - The people employed by each tenant. Will be the biggest user group of the 3.

Is this something that Oxwall can do? I'd be so grateful to anyone that can help as this is going to have really positive effect on our centre.

Thanks in advance!

Ollie, if I understood you correctly, you can edit the current profile questions, instead of male/female you can do Centre staff/tenants and add additional one - Tenants staff.

Then you can assign certain account types or user roles for a certain group of members.

Please let me know if that what you were looking for.

As to this one: The outcome we want is having a completly private area for tenants and staff to get to know each other, but also a single page public area for each company so they can showcase their companies.

Can you please shed more light on this? What do you imply by public and private area?

Ollie,
Did you end up using oxwall? I have a similar project, but I am looking for each "company" to be more isolated than I think Oxwall currently allows.

To do this you would have to rewrite the group plug in  so you have 3 or more separate plugins then use rolls for permissions to each one

Should not be to hard to do if you ask paru he would be able to do this for you
