Just wonderd if any developers were considering making a plugin that list members selected by the admin as team members.

Ideally the plugin would show a list follwed by their title I.E. Admin, Moderator, Greeter ect.

You would then be able to click on their photo to view their full profile or be able to send them a PM.

As a bonus if it could assign someone as a greeter for each new member registering on the site and send them a personalised PM to welcome them to the site that too would be amazing.

Is there any support this? I have not added it to Oxwall uservoice as I think it's more of an idependant plugin personally.

Fetlife which is an adult site does this. Each new member is not only greeted, they are offered support by the greeter for a period after they join. It's really good for complex sites.

I agree that this isn't a thing we would expect to find in the core, but it would make a great plugin.

Great suggestion Shaun.

I can't build a plugin but I was able to build something like this into my site.

I downloaded a plugin created by Purus called USER WELCOME MESSAGE. It sends a message that you write yourself to every new member that registers on your site from someone you select from a drop down menu.

Every couple of weeks I change the sender of the welcome message so that all the voluteer greeters get their chance to welcome the new members.

I also contacted Puros about future updates and he has said he will consider my suggestion sugestion forum topic.

The second thing I did was to use a banner creating website to make a small banner for each greeter. I then uploaded the banners to my site and created a new page using htlm to list the team of volunteers and provide clickable links to their profiles.

It works well for now until a developer takes up the challenge.
