Why my site works so slowly? | Forum

Hi to all!

Have a site polyglothub [dot] com on Oxwall and it works veery slowly. I asked the hosting provider maybe on their part is something wron and their questions was that there are to many MySQL database requests that's why it is to slow. But my site isn't to big (300 users registred). Any ideas what makes it so slowly?

Alexandru, what hosting plan do you use? are those 300 users active? how many concurrent users do you have? can you please provide a list of plugin you have installed on your website?

Yes! My hosting provider says that there are to many database requests because of this it works to slowly. Please, take a look at it polyglothub.com

Have you considered guest visitors browsing your website? Probably that is the reason.

I found that in the userfiles are 999 css with this text: .ow_header_pic{background-image:url(http://polyglothub.com/ow_userfiles/themes/theme_image_14.png)}

ask hosting in mod headers, mod expires, mod deflate excerorator etc are install
if not ask them to recompile with them a and work you htacess file
