As to this one - Members of my site can't invite users when they create an event. Why exactly they can't? Do they get any kind of message or an error? Please elaborate, screenshot would be great.
As to this one - is there a way for events to send out emails when new comments are posted? Do you mean wall comments?

Yes, wall comments on events.
