A few changes I've made needed to be done via the base.css file.

When I add a plugin or update one all the changes I've made disappears.

How can I prevent this from occurring?

Thanks!

Hi !
I think the better solution is to customize CSS via admin panel. Easy and no problem with update or cache...

Well I'm going to have a few of these sites with basically the same look so I would like to know what css file contains the default settings. Any idea?

www.footballpen.com is the one I'm working on now.

Default CSS settings are in base.css file. But Max if right, if you want to save all your CSS changes, you need to make all these changes in admin panel, overwriting existing styles.

Try setting dev_mode to true in your config.php file.
