Video Chat Comparison | Forum

Hi

I had installed and tested Tiny Chat - and Video worked, but the whole plugin does not integrate very wel into the oxwall site and theme...

Now there is the "Instant Chat with video support" plugin for 60$, that integrates into the native Instant Chat.

Can anybody compare from experience? What are the advantages/disadvantages, CPU load, bandwidth usage, stability, ease of use...?

Thank you very much in advance!!!

Greetings from Congo,

Martin

Instant Chat with video support is a great plugin, the video streaming is done by TokBox (the service you need to use it - free) so no CPU power on your server is used, only the processes for the normal chat part of it.

It also opens in a popup window which is convenient.

thank you!

have you also tried Tiny (video) chat? It is free and worked... but you would recommend the 60 bucks for Instant Chat ?

I tried that as well and didn't like it. It doesn't integrate with the site well at all. I recommend paying the 60

Since there are the developpers and an experienced user here: which one of the two options do you recommend or have better experience with:

v. 1.0 (flash) or

v. 2.0 (HTML5)

My guts tell me to use HTML5 but there the video image was always so huge and therefore the speed bad. The flash version used a smaller video image. Or can it be regulated somehow?

I use V2 on my site, simply for the better image quality, and the fact it's supported by most browsers now.

V1 won't work on things like iPads etc as they don't support flash.

that was my thought too, but when I tried HTML5 the video is very large and therefor slow, the flash player uses a smaller format. I wish I could influence the video size in HTML5 :(

As a content creator, I'm always looking for ways to streamline the video content creation process. Wave.video has been a game changer for me with the flexibility to choose which platforms I want to stream my videos on. I can create one video and distribute it to multiple channels, which saves a ton of time. The video editing tools are fantastic and easy to use, and thanks to wave.video I've been able to create some really professional looking videos. The customer support team was also great. They are always ready to help me with any questions or problems. You can click here if you also want to find something for yourself. I highly recommend wave.video to anyone looking to improve the process of creating and distributing video content.
