Hello,

I have tried a few different ways of upgrading from 1.6 to 1.7.

I keep getting this error:

Fatal error: Out of memory (allocated 22282240) (tried to allocate 1966080 bytes) in /home/......

I have had memory checked with hosting and was updated and checked..

Anyone have the same problems?

Any ideas please, currently site is down(don't worry i have back ups lol)

Tony

Increase PHP memory limit

Increase PHP's memory limit, e.g. to increase it to 32M you could try adding:

memory_limit = 32M to your server's main php.ini file (recommended, if you have access)

php_value memory_limit 32M in your .htaccess file in the Oxwall root

 some shared hosts will not allow any modification of your capacity at all

Found php.ini
memory_limit = 64M ?
is this right?

I have got an idea ,if you have cpanel why don't you try doing an full  install from there ,instead of upgrade .Make sure you go into oxwall folder and download all user prof photos and any othere images And download your config file because you well need to edit all db settings ,if you don't all your members well have to do a password reset ,once you install go to your DB and drop it and replace with backup and then upload all user prof images etc,and add all your mods again .

When you tried to upgrade did you deactivate all your plugins and switch to default theme ,and put your site offline mode before doing the upgrade ? just a thought
