Hi all,
logged in as admin I see "there are xx plugin updates available".
If I try to update a plugin, an ftp connection is requested.
Now my question, which eventually might be interesting for many others too.
(I have seen this article http://docs.oxwall.org/install:update but it does not describe it in detail)
Which path do I have to enter in my ftp-programm ?
the root path or the path to the folder ow_plugins or to the path ow_pluginfiles ?
I did not try out, because I dont want to destroy my installation.
P.S. I am using Oxwall 1.6.0

Hey Jochen,
Before you do anything, back up your database and file folder, then try putting your site in "maintenance" mode, then make core, theme and plugin updates.

FOLLOW EACH STEP:
1st Disable/deactivate (do NOT uninstall) all plugins.
2nd Change theme to default. (The Origin theme)
3rd Update the core to 1.7
4th Update the themes (if applicable)
5th Activate plugins ONE at a time and update them.
