It would be nice to apply a theme where it is possible to configure all your content listed on pages in each, so that administrators can more easily so have the changes. Font size, background image, footer, all described the standards that can adapt to the use of simpler themes.
5 - The plugin provides an Event error that I see from the latest versions. It is presented corretamete events, date and time, not even they appear in searches being free viewing by all site users.
6 - be possible to modify the layouts of every page, because not all the pages are blocked for customization according to the content presented on them. Did you place on this page Wall component via Admin Panel->Pages&Menus area? You need to drag Wall component to this page.

Would you give more details? How they fail? What exactly issues do you have with it?

If you want to customize it deeper, you need to use CSS editor and overwrite existing CSS selectors.
Or you can create your own theme and change it directly via templates/decorators/css customization.

This feature will be added later. Regarding sidebar option, this is defined by current active theme and can't be changed via any settings.
