How as the site owner can I view groups without being invited to that group? Is there something I'm missing? Also how does role moderator work after choosing one? This also doesn't allow them to access that task.

as to the groups can be seen by admin - Do you mean you can't see some groups or can? Because admin sees every group, disregarding whether it is private or public
