I find it a bit strange that I have the ability to view all my own albums http://www.badmintonlocker.com/photo/useralbums/vickig but I can't setup the Photo page to show all albums by all users.

How can I display all Albums when someone clicks on the PHOTO page?

Topic was moved from Plugins.

I'm not sure why this post was moved from the "Plugins" as it does relate to the Photos plugin directly.

I know that currently, you don't have a setting that I can "click" for it, but my question is how to make it go to view all albums?

There must be a URL I can go to just like the URL I posted earlier. What would be the URL I would go to in order to view all albums?

Hi
Your topic was moved from plugin because it doesn't reflects any questions about plugins development. Regarding the link to view all your photo albums, you can found this link by clicking "Add Photo", on photo upload page you will see a botton to view all your albums. Also, you this link can be founded from your profile view page, on photo albums widget.

Hi, I already know the URL to all my photo albums. I listed it already in my first post http://www.badmintonlocker.com/photo/useralbums/vickig

I thought a simple URL like http://www.badmintonlocker.com/photo/useralbums/ might list all user's albums but it does not.

My question was, what would I put in the URL in order to view ALL user's albums? I know there is no switch for it in the interface but how do I program it to view all user's albums? Like a workaround solution?

Got your point :) There is no such URL for now.

To expand this a little...
Is there any way development can be done where if you click on a "latest image" you get the ability to see the next available latest image instead of going to THAT user's album?

Nice idea with overlay arrows or a simple next or previous link or something.

Yup, better to view latest images and be able to browse between them instead of clicking on an image to view, be taken to that album... look at it.  Chen click the back button on your browser (which should be a function the user does and not a design in a website) view the next latest image and so on.

As Keelan said, not to goto the image completely but a larger overlayed image with next/prev buttons and if you click on the centre (or another button) THEN it takes you to the image proper.

All in good time...

Oh wow - I'm glad I'm reading this. One of my main purposes for installing Oxwall is the photo album. I was expecting it to work as a gallery, where I can set up different categories and photos can be added to multiple categories and users can see newest added photos to comment/rate on the first page with categories listed underneath.

Is this not possible at all?? If not, how fast is "all in good time?" I'd really like something like this in a few weeks before my site goes live. Please????!!!

Oh no!! Wow...

Ok, is there a work around or can someone code it for me?? Or teach me how to code it?  I really need this to work as a gallery with categories.

http://www.oxwall.org/market/specialists but any core edits will be updates with new releases of Oxwall. So a plugin would be the best option.

Reasonable suggestions guys:
- add ability to navigate between latest photos on photo view page (if you opened it from latest photos page). The same way for other photo lists.
- if "View full size" is active, then allow to open full size photo by clicking on image on view photo page.

Added these to our discussion list. I hope it will be added in some of next updates.

Hi Addenster, It seems you didn't put my original post request in your list.

Can you please add to your discussion list:

- add ability to VIEW ALL ALBUMS -- meaning view all members albums on the same page, not just view one member's album -- meaning view all the members albums in the entire website.

Like I keep thinking... Oxwall is an infant in the social network site arena.  Baby steps.
It is a fine product as is.  When it matures I am sure there will be a whole host of goodies for it!  Mind you, I reckon most will be to "bling" it up as it is damn near perfect  (for me anyways)

I didn't put this request cos it there is some details which should be cleared, for example:
- Where to show this list? Does it it will replace photos pages? There are will be photo albums instead single photos? Or there must be two sections with photos on site?

I mean when a user clicks the Photos page, they will see photo albums from all members. Meaning, just like this http://www.badmintonlocker.com/photo/useralbums/vickig but show ALL members albums, not just my own.

I would recommend a radio button selection in the Admin - Photos - Settings screen.

- (default selection) - display as Pictures
- display as Albums

Hi Vicki,
If you had 100 users with 10 albums each you will have to display 1000 albums.  If you display the latest images then people see in order of date submitted who uploaded what.  If you are wanting to look at the album it is better to goto the user's profile and look there.

What may be a good idea is maybe a small overlay menu that has the options, goto profile, goto albums, msg user.

I suppose it COULD be possible to show all albums as the information is already there.  Just need someone who can interpret the database and post to the site.
