Hello Kelvin, having SSL is not required but recommended.
This plugin will start supporting SSL in upcoming update. This has not been implemented right now since changes need to be done within the Oxwall's core platform as well. We have already contacted Oxwall Developers and changes are on their way.

This plugin must use under SSL website to let customers or members trust.

Kelvin, yes you are right.
Customers are more likely to provide you with their credit card info, if they see that the site is under SSL. We are working on improving our plugin and Oxwall team is working in changes within their core, so SSL support for this plugin is on it's way to be released soon.

Other then customer's trust, SSL is not a must have. If you don't have it on your site at this moment, you can still accept payments via this plugin.

More info on SSL and Stripe can be found at: https://stripe.com/help/ssl

Any update about SSL support?

MacProcess, Stripe plugin works with SSL just fine. If you have SSL certificate you can install it and use on your site.  We were talking about the possibility to setup SSL certificate for the specific page only, but not for the entire site. As far as I know Oxwall is still working on this possibility. Once this functionality is implemented in the software - we will be able to optimize our plugin and add the support of the single page encryption.

Is there an update to this?  Also, what is the difference between having SSL certificate for the entire site and for a specific page only?

Chanil, the difference is that whether you want your entire website to be covered by SSL or just one page. Methods which are sending the details to stripe are using on one page only. But if you want to make your website secure, you can enable SSL for the whole website. More over from now on all browsers require SSL to be enabled. For example, if you open your website without SSL using Google Chrome, you will see the warning message that your website is not secure, in the address bar.
