video resource not allowed[Solved] | Forum

Hi,

I'm running the latest software with the video plugin installed. I just tried adding a video by embedding a Youtube link. I get the message 'video resource not allowed'. I uninstalled and re-installed the plugin but still no success. Is this a know issue with a workaround or solution?

Probably you have removed it from the list of the allowed resources in the admin panel.
www.yoursite.com/admin/settings/user-input in the reach media settings section

youtube.com IS one of the allowed settings. There is nothing in the allowed file extensions box. COuld that be affecting it? Would there need to be the required video/movie file extensions as well as the source URL ?

also thats a restricted video
it contains content from wmg and is restricted to only play back on certain website

into the 'embed code' box and still get 'video not allowed'

you need to put embed code in the embed code not url in embed code
