Hi,

I am running a members only site and have the settings 'Guests can view this site' set to No and Mandatory User Approval set to on. Therefore, where someone accesses the site without a login they are taken to the login page, which displays the site name, a message asking them to login, username, password, signin button and a Join link.

My question is 'How do I customise this page?' - I want to add a brief description about the site for SEO purposes and also the terms and conditions.

ASB.

Currently, you can't do it via Admin Panel, only with custom code modification. But in this way, you will lose your modification with core autoupdate.
By the way, you can customize splashscreen via Admin Panel, is it enough? You can past there your site description and TOS.

The login form lets site members access their accounts. Instead of just using the default login form, you can choose to give your members a more customized experience by choosing to create a custom login form .

Click the Pages icon  in your Editor.

Click Signup & Login.

Click Member Login Form (Default).

Click the drop-down under Which Member Login form do your visitors see?
Choose Custom.
Click Add to Site (if you do not already have a member login form added to your site).
Click the form in your Editor to start customizing each section of the form.
When you are done customizing your form, click Exit Lightbox Mode on the top bar.
