You would think over time and experience, developers would IMPROVE.

Oxwall JUST GETS WORSE with every new core update.

It is now the most sluggish, slowest, worst script on earth. I mean it's just terrible.

I really wish I had not updated past 1.5

It's just been a progressive worsening with every update.

Yeah, I know it's free. But damn, I would rather pay and have a good running site than deal with all the failures and frustrations of Oxwall being free.

No wonder it's free. NOBODY WOULD PAY MONEY FOR THIS! Good god, what a ball of failure and frustration Oxwall has become. tsk tsk tsk

I've been working with oxwall for 4 years, close to the beginning of it's development, I've always found it better than the other free options out there, sure it has it's issues, and yes it is frustrating, I've found there are a great many people in the oxwall community who are willing to help sort issues.
The biggest drawback of oxwall is and has always has been poor support from the dev team and occaisionally a plugin developer.

Essentially I feel you get what you pay for and you get back what you put in.

In saying that I wouldn't trade my oxwall site for any other out there.

First, Oxwall is a nice system. It has the most feautures i wish.

But, styling, and translating is not easy at all.

Support is poor, but i think the curve to learn oxwall is not easy.

I have 1 site with oxwall, 2 with wordpress and a couple of joomla

my first place it is joomla. when u see jomsocial, it looks fantastic. but later, you also see it has many bugs.

also with easysocial. you pay mych money and it is not good.

So in my opnion Oxwall is a very nice and good cms.

But, if they like it bigger, with more people and devvers they have to change there translatingsystem, and theming.

also the default layout is not good. of all my sites 70% are mobile users.

If they make a nice clean responsive default layout, it should be much better for other people to try and help.

just my 2 cents. Oxwall is nice :)

I have phpfox, dolphin and oxwall, I like oxwall the best I started with phpfox in 2007 then went to dolphin now oxwall.

My wish for ox would start with privacy, members need the ability to make some albums private not all. some posts private not all etc some pictures private not all.

cheers

though oxwall team is small , it's a fast growthing community script . I suggest them to increase their team member as well as core developer also .

I hear you loud and clear. Oxwall updates sound like a major headache. It's definitely frustrating to see a product decline over time, especially when it becomes sluggish and unreliable. Free software is great, but if it comes at the cost of constant best PhD writing servicesissues, it can be tempting to just pay for something that works. Hopefully the developers will get a chance to hear this kind of feedback and turn things around.
