Hello , I am new to all of this and after alot of issues I got the site up and running. One issue I am having is that I can not for the life of me get the mobile part working. Users can not upload or even Join from phones. Can someone be kind and help maybe ?

Joseph, seems like there's some error, I click on the join in mobile version and I got this:

please enable debug mode : http://docs.oxwall.org/plugin-tuts:enable-debug
to see the actual errors, as soon as you do that, let us know so we could proceed.

check whether you have these files:
/ow_system_plugins/base/mobile/views/controllers/join_index.html
and
ow_libraries/smarty3/sysplugins/smarty_internal_templatebase.php
