Oxwall very slow on wamp with dev_mode on | Forum

Hello,

I'm running oxwall on localhost via wamp and it's super super slow with dev_mode enabled, like 15sec to load a page... Since I have no problem on the server but only locally I was wondering if there were any configuration I could do to be able to speed up oxwall on wamp? I don't have this issue with any other software locally...

I have already asked this question for XAMPP in http://www.oxwall.org/forum/topic/24736. They told me to use WAMP instead of XAMPP. But it is also having the same problem. I believe some one will give us a right track

Why do you keep you dev mode enabled? Of course your website will load slow, as dev mode causes that, by clearing the cache and recompiling template files every time you refresh the page or go to the new link.

Well because I'm developping a plugin and I need to have dev_mode enabled quite often. The thing is, it is not that slow on my server in dev mode, only locally, so I was wondering.

What solution Williams? Just enable dev mode when you need it. Otherwise any website will be slow to load.

Yeah running OW linux is the best option, we use Ubuntu as our dev server.
Here's how to install Oxwall in Ubuntu http://www.oxwall.org/forum/topic/19281 hope this will help.
