Notifications work perfect - UNFORTUNATELY when Newsfeed is embedded in Groups!
Could you please help!!
I would need the standard notifications for the newsfeed and also when a new Post is added in the Newsfeed (embedded in the Group) a notification to all group members!
THANKS, Christian

There should be an option for:-

Anything happens in group newsfeed

(this would cover - forum posts, comments, etc......)

We see it like that, group newsfeed is not intended to be shared on the index newsfeed, because group is like a small community. There's no need all members from your website to know what happens in that group.

You can make a suggestion on uservoice for us to consider changing this behavior.
In the meantime you can hire a developer to implement that for you. You can do that here: http://www.oxwall.org/market/specialists

Well sure, but others don't see it like that. It's not about sharing it with other members of the website - its about sharing news with the individual user. The group member. Deliberately ignoring that fact, and directing us to user voice seem childish.

You can sit in your ivory development tower all you like. But real world use, time and time again shows that if community users get an email notification about what they are interested in, they will come back to the site and participate. This is how it works, weather you like it or not. And this is what is missing, from the group function at the moment.

Our admins, have to make  a group wall post, duplicating the newsfeed function of the group - to ensure that group members (who are members of multiple groups) see what is going on.

Your wrong. Your wrong about this, and your wrong about your 'odd' user voice. Your users tell you over and over - but you prefer your ivory tower. And it shows.

Regards,

Matt
