Updated to version 1.7.2 but I'm not see any change[Solved] | Forum

I think I successfully installed version 1.7.2. When I go to the Admin page it shows Platform version 1.7.2 (build 8520) in the lower left.

However, none of the updates listed in the change log seem to work.

Two obvious changes I should be able to see:

- social sharing buttons on the "Photo view" page, if the Social Sharing plugin is installed. (from http://oxwall.org/1.7.2/CHANGELOG.txt)

and

-Users can now choose avatars from their existing photo albums. (from http://blog.oxwall.org/2014/11/oxwall-1-7-2-beta-release)

Neither one works on my site.

What did I do wrong?

Kurt, I don't see social button anywhere on your website, seems like you have not install it or configured at all.

As to the choosing avatar from existing photos, can you please PM me access details to your Cpanel and admin details for the website, I need to check the issue on your website.

I am confused. I have both Social media sharing and ShareThis plugin installed. Both are visible and usable on several pages of my website. What plugin is being referred to here: "social sharing buttons on the "Photo view" page, if the Social Sharing plugin is installed. (from http://oxwall.org/1.7.2/CHANGELOG.txt)"?

I will send a PM shortly.

I figured out where my problem was!!!

I did not realize that I needed to update the photo plugin separately from the 1.7.2 update. I had assumed all the plugins that "come with" Oxwall would include the latest Oxwall update.

Anyway, I manually updated the photo plugin from 7650 to 8520 and the social sharing is now available. I will now check all my plugins to see what needs to be updated.

Now as you can see if a user upload photos, he has the option to set the avatar from the uploaded photos.

I'm going to mark this thread as solved
