Mail verification not being sent (solved) | Forum

I looked up plenty of forum topics including some on how to troubleshoot it yourself. I followed Oxwalls troubleshoot for it and Ross recently checked out my cron and that seems to be fine other then users never seem to logout.

I tried using mail notification with mass mailing "instantly" it shows up in ow_base_mail but dosen't show up in my mail. I tried to SSH manual cron but I couldn't get myself connected through putty even follow both Oxwall and bluehosts tutorials. So if any staff can check it out that would be awesome sorry still working out these kinks since the move to bluehost.

I followed this and only got to step 4 till I was stumped on trying to connect and use my SSH.

Kenneth, when your mail shows up in the ow_base_mail does it goes away from there or not?

Moreover, e-mail verification sends directly to the mail server without cron, which means there's something wrong with the mail server, in this case you need to contact your hosting provider to resolve the issue and if the mail goes out of ow_base_mail table that means that it goes to the mail server, as soon as it goes out from the table to mail server, the software is not responsible for it. Now it is mail server duty to send it to you mail agents.

It stays in ow_base_mail I'll send you a private message with details so you can take a peek at anything you wish. If it turns out to be a mail conflicting error with bluehost/cloudflare mail/IP I'll be sure to contact them.

No need to send me the details.

If it stays in ow_base_mail, your cron is not properly configured.

Just go through some topics on forum: http://www.oxwall.org/forum/section/2/search?&q=cron%20is%20not%20working

This issue been discussed a bunch of times.

I did a few hours of google searching trying to find multiple reasons this could be happening and to solve it this was the problem

Not sure if this is planned to be fixed but I have a feeling many will suffer from this communication error between hosts and the OW platform.

it is not a problem between host and Oxwall software, but host mail server and mail agent which gets the mails
