One member has been complaining that he gets the red "error" bar when attempting to move a photo from one album to another.

Same thing happens when I try to move a photo.

Strange thing is, It sometimes works, but most of the time, I get the "error" red bar.

I increased the quantity limits for users and albums, tried moving photos again, same issue. Works sometimes, but majority of move attempts error.

Jobee, I cannot reproduce that on your website

as you can see from the screenshots I have created two albums basketball with 2 photos and nature with 7 photos, then I edited each photo in Nature photoalbum and choose a basketball photo album for them.

All photos were successfully transferred to the Basketball photo album no "error" popup.

Please provide us with the exact steps how to reproduce that.

I use the exact same steps as you did.

After further experimentation, I discovered that photos can be moved from one album to another, as long as both albums were created, and photos were uploaded AFTER this new photo plugin was created (I think 1.7.0?)

So that would explain why yesterday, when I tried to move a photo from an old album created before 1.7.0, I was getting error. I looked back and the moves that were successful were photos that were very recently uploaded and album created AFTER 1.7.x

I did extensive testing, and my conclusions were

100% successful moves ONLY with photos uploaded and albums created AFTER 1.7.x

100% errors on moves attempted with photos/albums created BEFORE 1.7.x

I discovered another bug while testing.

When I drag and drop a photo to upload, it doesn't upload, it just opens the photo in the browser showing the local location path on my computer. Then I have to hit the back button to get back to the site. The only way to upload is to NOT use drag and drop. Must click to browse your file explorer. Drag and drop doesn't work.

Jobee, ok, I was able to reproduce the issue with moving photos from album to album of old photos

as to the drag and drop issue this is theme related issue you need to contact theme developer to resolve this issue, you can check it on your own. Enable origin theme and try.

As to the issue with moving photos. Please give me sometime to reproduce that on our test website.

By the way what version you had when you uploaded those photos that can't be moved?

I believe my site started with 1.5.x (original new install July 2012) Then I avoided updating until 1.6, and since then have been updating each version since then.

So the vast majority of photos/albums on the site are 1 to 2 years old.

Jobee, we have fixed the issue on your website it happens because you missed 1.6 update, which is why there was no values for uploadKey. we have added a condition to check whether or not photo has uploadKey and update newsfeed item correspondingly.
We applied several changes, if you're interested, you can compare default /ow_plugins/photo/classes/event_heandler.php file with the one you have on your server.

However this is a hot fix, the permananet fix will be added in the next update of the software.
