Hi,
We do not intend to update the platform to 1.7.2 just yet. Partly as not all plugins we use seem to have been updated.
Would do others think in regard to updating the plugins, but not the platform? In other words.... are the latest plugin updates backwards compatible?

dont do it, wait until you are ready to update the platform, your site might go down if you do
