Just as the title asks, can a user have more than 1 paid membership?


I know they can upgrade, but what if we have memberships setup where it would be applicable to have more than 1 paid membership?


If this isn't available, it may be something to consider adding in your next update on this plugin.


Also, can a user downgrade?  And if so, does the user get some money back for downgrading?


Example:

User pays for a membership that lasts 6 months.

After the third month, that user wants to downgrade and get some money back.


If this is not an option either, again, it would be something to consider when releasing your next update!

I think you should make a rule like how long you provide refund. If members use over 1 or 2 month, they can not be refund or downgrade. If they use less then 1 month, you can have a refund for rest of months that members want to cancel their 3-6-12 months plan.

Hybrid, the membership policy is designed to have only one membership type assigned to a user. Could you please explain the reason why you need a user has several different memberships assigned to them?


As to the downgrade - there is no automatic downgrade system since a user pays for a subscription through the payment gateway. If a user wants to downgrade their membership, they should contact the site administrator for downgrading. The site admin in turn should go to the PayPal (or other payment gateway they are using) account and refund the money. Once the money to be refunded, the site admin should manually revoke the membership through the user's profile page by clicking the Edit Membership button. (see screenshot attached)
