Hi,

URL: www.hardstyleunited.com

Platform version 1.7.2 (build 8520)

Theme: Revolution

Settings/user settings/contend input/Rich media settings/

Added with: soundcloud.com mixcloud.com

When we put the URL in the news feed the players are not shown. Is this something that should work. Or does Oxwall not support this. Searched the forum but could not find a clear answer on this topic. Even when I put the Iframe code in the text field. The player/widget does not show.

Hello Drick,

Are you using any plugin for it?

Hi Durlabh,

My question regarding this is if Oxwall core features supports this. Since you can add this under user settings right. wondering why even the Iframes are not showing up. But going on your answer i need a plugin for this?

Thanks for your reply.

Hi,

No matter if i only put the URL (from soundcloud) of the Iframe in my newsfeed. It wont show up on the timeline. What i need is a Facebook like: if you put the URL in the news feed its showing the player from the site your used. I cant find a plugin for this and thought maybe its a core feature of Oxwall.

Thanks for helping out.

Sorry direk but that function is not yet available on newsfeed, but you can suggest it here so that future oxwall has it.

Also its not clear from me why i can add the soundcloud url in the user settings with the explanation:

"List domains from which you allow to embed videos or put iframes. These should be sites that provide embed code for videos or valid content which you entrust. One domain per line."

Because if I disable: "Disable custom HTML"

I can't use the Iframes  since i need to use the Embedded code.

But the options to use the IFrames is under the: Rich media settings. Show this should not affect it.But it does.

Would be great if there is a solution already for this. :)

Oh no, I want my visitors to be able to show the players in the newsfeed etc.. Looking for a solution for this. How I can show them is not the problem.

You cant put the player in oxwall default newsfeed plugin yet, If you want someone to build that plugin for you you can easily hire a developer here

You can put the player in user profile or the main page if you want but not currently in the newsfeed,Have you checked the store for a suitable plugin?

Dirk, you need to embed the iframe code in the video plugin (default one).

Before doing that you need to add the soundcloud.com to the allowed resoources list in the admin panel.

Hi Ross,

This I know And saw soundcloud can be uploaded but only via the Video plugin. I need to decide If its great to have a plugin build so we all can have the players in the news feeds as well. IF this is not going to be one of the core features of Oxwall of coarse. Also what about images opening in new pages. could only find 1 fancybox plugin but its deprecated. Is there an option within Oxwall itself to make sure images opening in a popup instead of a new page.

One request per topic please (forum rule)

as to the newsfeed when you embed the soundcloud file in the video plugin it appears and can be played in the newsfeed too.

Hi Ross,

This is I discovered :). But still i think its very important to give the users a change to do it directly via the newsfeed instead of the video plugin. But this is something also for me to think about. If I really need this on a short time period.

Thanks for the thoughts and help though.

This is a custom code modification, you will need to hire a programer to do that for you. You can do that here: http://www.oxwall.org/market/specialists
