ok I have created a plugin. However when I uninstall it the link I created for it in the languages section still remains. so when I reinstall it gives an error.
I have checked the database and I cannot see any trace of the plugin once it has been uninstalled. However the plugin can be seen still in the languages section and the link in the pages>>menu section.
what am I doing wrong?

I notice that the plugin still have xml files existing somewhere even after uninstall this might be causing the problem.

Could you please provide us with the error messages you are receiving during uninstall/install process?

it was giving me a duplicate prefix error message. This is because when I uninstall the plugin the button or the link or that plugin still remains still remains in the language bit.
